The “Stig” is up for BBC show Top gear
Many who watch the BBC television show Top Gear will know that the Stig was the man who would race certain cars around the Top Gear track and his time would be the time to beat when guests would appear on the show. The Stig would only be shown in his white racing suit with his white helmet on and his identity was a mystery to all but a few people who were involved in the show. Well after a good run the identity came to light recently that the Stig was indeed Formula 3 driver Ben Collins. Ben Collins was in the process of publishing an autobiographical book and in the book mentioned that he was the Stig and that was where the trouble started for Ben and publishing company Harper Collins. The BBC filed an injunction trying to ban the publication of the book saying that it was going against his contract and would spoil the show for viewers. This injunction was not given to the BBC and as a result the secret of the Stig is no longer a secret.
