SHAUN WHITE TO COMPETE AT X GAMES TIGNES – BOTH PIPE AND SLOPE

With X Games France quickly approaching, the news reports came trickling overseas from Tignes early this morning that Shaun White has been confirmed to compete. Even more noteworthy, as that he has been confirmed for both pipe and slopestyle.

White was rumoured to be absent from the World Championships in Oslo last week, when the WSC would not pay him the amount he requested to appear. At X Games Aspen, white pulled out of the slopestyle with an ankle injury. The injury certainly didn’t stop him from thowing down in the pipe.

Both of these factors will have all eyes on Tignes France in a few weeks. Ipod took the pipe in Oslo, with a run that certainly will provide an interesting match up for White and Vito and others. Would his run have been enough to hold off White, had he shown up?

And on the slope style side, all eyes will be on White to see what he has up his sleeve (he claims to have only ridden a few times in recent months). He’ll have his hands full, with Toots, McMorris, Willet and crew all on the invite list for X Games France.
