Alistair Overeem UFC 141 POST FIGHT INTERVIEW

It was a busy weekend for action sports, UFC 141 went down in Las Vegas and there were some amazing fights. News of the event though was Alistair Overeem taking out Brock Lesner in the first round with a liver kick and then swarming on him to finish the fight. After the fight had been called Brock announced his retirement from the UFC much to many peoples surprise. He said that if he had won the fight he would have accepted one last title shot and that if he lost he would hang up the gloves once and for all.

We have never liked Brock for numerous different reasons, but we will say he fought hard and lost to one of the best MMA heavy weights out there today. Overeem has long being denied his chance to shine and overlooked time and time again and he has now officially arrived. Overeem will be getting the next title shot against current UFC heavyweight Junior Dos Santos in 2012 and we can all expect that fight to be a striking war for the history books.
