Agenda Show New York City Report

New York City is easily one of my favorite spots in the world, it doesn’t take much of an excuse for me to jump on a plane and spend a weekend there. Having never experienced the Agenda Show in NYC, I thought what better time to catch up with some old friends and hit up the show at the same time. It’s very interesting how different the trade show atmosphere is in NYC compared to California, the focus of the show is very urban and fashion heavy. Everything down to the venue itself represents NYC to the fullest and it was all a really nice change up from the California shows.
While at the show we talked with the guys at SkullCandy, Neff and Rebel8. The general consensus was that it was a successful show, the turn out was really good and people came to do business. SkullCandy was busy launching their new line of artist collaboration head phones, team rider headphones and apparel as well. If that was not enough they were even offering free hair cuts!

Neff was blowing up their every expanding line full with headwear, eyewear, apparel and accessories. Of all the brands at the show, they were one of the companies that stood out the most from the crowd. Still rocking bright colors, unique designs, innovative ideas and a true sense of what snowboarding is doing both on and off the hill.

Rebel8 was keeping their new gear secret, but one thing we can tell you is that it looked tight and we think you will be very pleased with what Joshy D and the boys at Rebel 8 have on the way for the next booking season.

Along with the urban vibe came a great deal of footwear and headwear. Agenda was showcasing many of their show specific hats and collaboration hats with various different brands that were displaying at the NYC show.

Another great aspect of the show was the graff and custom paint work done on some of the footwear and headwear we saw. Andrew Herzer from Toasted Arts had some items on display and banged out a few pieces while people looked on, very cool idea and great interaction for all the buyers and attendees.

The venue that the show was held at looked to be an old factory of sorts, complete with exposed brick, white walls, exposed pipes, exposed electric and retro lighting; it made for the perfect back drop and feel to a NYC clothing show.

After a long two days at the show, we concluded that Agenda NYC is a mecca for the urban and street wear market. The show represents the east coast to a tee and includes all the things that separate the east from the west, it caters to specific elements that are not always present at the west coast shows. Fashion, urban, street, music, footwear and apparel driven brands will feel right at home with Agenda NYC. We spent the remaining time we had in NYC like any good Irishmen would and headed over to O’Hara’s Pub, right across the street from the 911 memorial site and had a few beers with both local and foreign police and firemen. We had the pleasure of meeting some great people at O’Hara’s, hearing some truly incredible stories and really getting into the culture of New York City. Thank you Aaron Levant, Agenda Show and thank you New York City for a fine trip!
